Naperville Electric
IMEA lighting grant.
Naperville is not ComEd. Commercial LED incentives go through the Illinois Municipal Electric Agency, then the city applies its own 50% / $25,000 cap. Leader Lights prepares the lighting-measures application before the May window.

Program Details
How the Naperville grant is calculated
IMEA $0.80 per watt
Lighting measures on the IMEA application pay $0.80 per watt reduced for interior or exterior LED fixtures.
City cap $25,000
Naperville then limits the grant to 50% of project cost excluding tax and $25,000 per customer per year.
May application window
Applications typically open in early May and are first-come until the pool is gone. Incomplete applications are rejected.
One-year completion
Awarded projects must finish within a year of the award date or funding is withdrawn.
How It Works
Four steps to the municipal grant
Fixture inventory
We count existing watts, proposed DLC fixtures, and occupancy sensors for the IMEA lighting-measures form.
May filing
Complete applications go in when the window opens. The city evaluates first-come until funds are awarded.
Installation
Work starts after award. City of Naperville electrical permits apply. The project must finish within one year.
Reimbursement
IMEA pays after completion. The city match rules still cap the customer at $25,000 per year.
Eligible customers
Non-residential Naperville Electric accounts
Commercial, industrial, institutional, and local government facilities on Naperville Electric can apply. ComEd Standard incentives do not stack on these meters.
