Illinois · Chicagoland

Commercial LED lighting for Chicago and the suburbs.

Leader Lights is a ComEd Energy Efficiency Service Provider. We file Standard lighting applications, can take the assigned incentive check, and quote Small Business coverage for accounts under 400 kW. Naperville Electric is a separate municipal grant.

Two ComEd tracks

Standard for plants. Small Business for accounts under 400 kW.

Illinois pages do not use Michigan “$0 upfront on most projects” language. Coverage depends on the ComEd track, DLC fixtures, and the 90% project-cost cap.

Standard (EESP)

$0.80 per watt reduced on DLC SSL v5.1 interior LED. Controls stack ($0.23 occupancy / $0.25 vacancy / $0.30 occupancy plus daylighting). Reservation required at $10,000+. Cap is 90% of project cost.

Small Business

Private businesses and public facilities under 400 kW peak. Typically 50–75% of project cost through ComEd’s Small Business offering — not a guarantee. We confirm demand from the bill during the assessment.

Municipal island

Naperville is not ComEd.

Naperville Electric uses the Illinois Municipal Electric Agency lighting grant, then the city caps awards at 50% of cost and $25,000 per customer per year. Geneva and Batavia municipal utilities do not offer commercial lighting grants — those jobs are quoted as paid retrofits.

Chicagoland cities

Illinois service areas.

Illinois electrical work is permitted by each city or village. There is no statewide electrician license. ComEd EV make-ready rebates are a separate program from lighting and are only quoted when that year is accepting reservations.

We inventory fixtures, identify the ComEd or Naperville track, and deliver a written proposal — at no cost and no obligation.
